Ephesians 4: 11- 24
11 Some of us have been given special ability as apostles; to others he has given the gift of being able to preach well; some have special ability in winning people to Christ, helping them to trust him as their Savior; still others have a gift for caring for God's people as a shepherd does his sheep, leading and teaching them in the ways of God.
12 Why is it that he gives us these special abilities to do certain things best? It is that God's people will be equipped to do better work for him, building up the Church, the body of Christ, to a position of strength and maturity;
13 until finally we all believe alike about our salvation and about our Savior, God's Son, and all become full-grown in the Lord--yes, to the point of being filled full with Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth.
15 Instead, we will lovingly follow the truth at all times--speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly--and so become more and more in every way like Christ who is the Head of his body, the Church.
16 Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly, and each part in its own special way helps the other parts, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
17 Let me say this, then, speaking for the Lord: Live no longer as the unsaved do, for they are blinded and confused.
18 Their closed hearts are full of darkness; they are far away from the life of God because they have shut their minds against him, and they cannot understand his ways.
19 They don't care anymore about right and wrong and have given themselves over to impure ways. They stop at nothing, being driven by their evil minds and reckless lusts.
20 But that isn't the way Christ taught you!
21 If you have really heard his voice and learned from him the truths concerning himself,
22 then throw off your old evil nature--the old you that was a partner in your evil ways--rotten through and through, full of lust and sham.
23 Now your attitudes and thoughts must all be constantly changing for the better.
24 Yes, you must be a new and different person, holy and good. Clothe yourself with this new nature.
Day of
Renewal -- Foundational truths regarding our Identity in
Christ. 3
evenings/3 hours per evening; 2 hours teaching per evening with an
additional 1 hour "after-meeting."
Description
of the after-meeting: 1) Normally 10 -15 minutes teaching on how to
receive miracle healing, sanctification (holiness), deliverance from
negative habits including: addictions, emotional faults, financial
problems, et. al., 2) Prayer, anointing with oil, laying on of hands
(touching only the head of an individual). Note: Rick will
minister regarding the Charismatic experience of the Baptism in the
Holy Spirit only if requested by a solid majority of a group, or
board and ministries -- if a church.
There is
normally a genuine, gentle outpouring of the Holy Spirit in confirmation of the Word of
God as taught regarding the above dedications and experiences. Many people
instantaneously receive what they ask the Lord for. Sometimes the
Holy Spirit moves upon people at the altar (front of the group or
audience), as well as people who remain seated. This has happened
while Rick is still teaching
and sharing from the Word of God, the Bible. Rick simply pauses and
encourages everyone to remain in a prayerful attitude. Rick says,
" The Bible clearly teaches the Holy Spirit is the both the Spirit of
God and Jesus (Rom.8:9). He knows what he is doing and the
meeting is dedicated to God and Jesus, His Son. Jesus has come in
the flesh and God is not the author of confusion. A key to miracle
ministry and healing is Lifting up the Lord Jesus Christ. Numbers
21:5-9 is a type of Christ being lifted up on the Cross to die for
us; John 8:28-32; John 12:32. Another key is to understand the
power of Jesus Christ, the messiah." "He was
before all else began and it is his
power that holds all things together." Col.1:17

Discovering who you really are
|
|
Eden: A
great lie believed about God’s character resulting in two
types of death. God’s law broken, a Debt of Sin
incurred. Slaves of Satan and the two Fathers in the human
race. Our negative inheritance from the Fall:
Spiritual death and lost knowledge of God. Innocence
replaced by shame and guilt; authority replaced by weakness,
helplessness.
Here’s what you need
to know about the Law: why it was given, what it
accomplishes. Law and Grace are two complete systems that
cannot be mixed. God’s Grace and the
meanings of : redemption, atonement, reconciliation,
justification, forgiveness, regeneration, a new birth - Jn.3:3,
a new position in Christ. Find out how the past has shaped
your present belief system.
Before you can
experience deeper Christian maturity and be completely free from
the past, you need to know who you are in Christ. No
person can consistently behave in a way that’s inconsistent
with the way he or she perceives self. Your identity: who
are you? Are you in touch with your true identity and
purpose in Christ?

Winning the battle for your mind

The great Christian
dilemma: Our position in Christ is settled. We discover, however, we are
"unfinished" products in Christian maturity. Often, our daily
performance is marred by disappointing, disobedience and failure which
disrupts the harmony of our relationship with God. Old nature, old self,
flesh, sin: what they are and how they affect us. You’ll remain a
mediocre, often defeated believer—unless….
In-depth Bible teaching
on the "Flesh, the Devil and the world" as it relates to a
Christian’s daily life. You need to know the battle for your mind is
not fought on the grounds of personal abilities. Your understanding and
weapons must be of "Divine origin." 2 Cor.10:3-5. Find out how
