Welcome to: MEN and Women in the Cause of Jesus of Nazareth
by Rick Lawrence

Think of how often in the Bible it is the woman who is the vehicle for ministry.  Who prompted Jesus to perform His first miracle? A Woman!   Who ministered to Christ and supported him financially during His public ministry? The women!  Who anointed the body of Jesus? The women!  Who stayed with Jesus throughout his trial and crucifixion? The women!  Who were the first witnesses to the resurrected Savior? The women!   Who makes up the majority of the population of most churches today? The women!

Ministry In Motion

If your church is like most, the bulk of the volunteer service is often done by women. Rather than speculate as to why this is so, let’s focus on figuring out how to get more men involved.

At a recent gifts-discovery seminar, students were asked to write down all of the different activities they were involved in that pulled on their time. This included family, work, church, sports, children’s activities and more. The exercise was intended to help them see what adjustments they could make regarding time commitment in order to find a good balance between pleasure, work and volunteer ministry. A young father, who had never served in church ministry before, approached the seminar leader. He looked concerned.

"I have two young children at home and I’m gone a lot because of my job. I want to serve but I’m concerned about it pulling me away from my family. What should I do?"

The seminar leader went on to explain that balance was the key word and that every person has a different set of obligations and responsibilities. Balance for one person would be overload for another. The leader encouraged the young father to think of ways he could serve that wouldn’t take as much responsibility and time and would still allow him to be there for his family.

Here are some "easy" low commitment ways men can get involved:

Combine recreation with ministry. Coach, assist, or help coordinate a sports ministry.

Consider maintenance ministries. Add their names to a roster of handymen listing their unique abilities (carpentry, plumbing, etc.) They can even agree to be on-call with a stipulation that serving will be as time permits. Work at home. Power Point design, web site design, graphic art, desktop publishing, tape duplication and editing, are just a few things that can be done at home.

Capitalize on technical skills. Computer systems specialists and budding sound techs are a great choice for this. Churches are often in need of these services at no charge.

Minister in the workplace. Lead Bible studies or devotionals in the workplace, before or after work or during the lunch hour.

Tap into hobbies. Wood crafting, photography, videography are just a few useful hobbies that churches may benefit from.

Ham it up. Those with a natural flair for being upfront can volunteer for skits and dramas and have fun doing it!

Rick Lawrence says, " I'm a ministry, an ambassador for Jesus.  I am surrendered and have abandoned myself into the hands of the Lord to do His will through me. Not my will, but His will be done in my life. Will you stand with me to teach the truth of the Scriptures? I teach the truths of the Bible with gentleness and love reaching out not only to true Christians, but to the huge number of unbelievers that don't attend church or normally get to hear about Jesus, or the Word of God, the Bible. I believe God has commissioned me to minister to hurting, people everywhere.

There are many ministries that minister through Christian radio and TV, mainly to believers, I'm happy for everyone's efforts to talk and teach about the Bible and Jesus. But I, personally, am called of the Lord to minister not only to believers, but to also concentrate on reaching the secular world with the Word of God -- out in the highways and byways with RKL2.org web site, plus the Crossroads of Life radio program! This is a busy and distracted world where most  people haven't heard or made decisions to get right with God by making commitments to receive Jesus into their heart and life.

Speaking of Crossroads of Life radio program, I recently read comments by the World Advertising Research Council stating that radio has a great effect on people everywhere. Interestingly, they stated that women are by far the most numerous listeners of contemporary radio and that radio can be more effective than television for both advertisers and listeners. They explained it this way, "[Picture] a  TV commercial with a family around a  table, ‘It’s a nice family,’ you might say, ‘but it doesn’t look like my family,’ ”  “On radio, though, your ear gets a customized version of that commercial people hear things and believe it is their family around the table. Same thing with a baseball game. You imagine your own image. We believe we can convince advertisers that, even now, radio can be the most impactful medium.   I just checked the statistics report for RKL2.org; the number of people accessing RKL2.org has moved upward again. The response continues to grow! Crossroads of Life radio program is a part of the reason.    More stats and a chart further down this page.

Please help me -- I can't do it alone!    If I was ministering to a vast majority of spiritually born again believers there would be lots of donations, but because I am reaching out mainly to the unsaved, nonreligious people of the world, I do not receive many donations from them.  I'm counting on you, You who have been rescued from darkness and have been brought into the kingdom of God's dear Son, Jesus; I appeal to you to sacrifice some of your finances to help me reach out to thousands of people who need your help and mine. Will you make it possible for others to hear the Word of Salvation? Will you help give them the chance to receive Jesus as their personal Savior? Your sacrificial gifts will help put Crossroads of Life radio program on more stations.

God uses different ministries to reach certain people. Did you know this?
Years ago, Mordecai Hamm, a conservative evangelist, preached a message one day to a group of people gathered in a farm pasture in North Carolina.  A teenager named Billy Graham was present in the group and accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior. I'm sure Mordecai Hamm and those who supported  Hamm's ministry would have been astonished if they could have known how God would use Billy Graham to preach to millions of people all over the world and see hundreds of thousands accept Jesus Christ as Savior. God loves the least and the greatest of His servants. The point I make is you and I may lead many people to Jesus, and who knows how many other people will be impacted by the ones we lead to the Lord.

I have prayed a lot about it, and I believe the Lord has made me to know that I should  ask more of you girls and women -- to become a partner with me, especially to pray for me, and to pray that God will provide finances to carry on this work. God bless you for helping me to reach lost, unbelieving souls who so desperately need Jesus, the Lord. You can't imagine how many people have lots of hurt and problems in their own lives and the lives of their loved ones.  I am not waiting for them to come to church -- I am proclaiming God's Word to them on  RKL2.org web site and by Crossroads of life radio program! More and more people are listening to Crossroads of Life and accessing RKL2.org website.

I feel it is important for you to know that I take good stewardship seriously. I clearly understand that people who help support the Lord's ministry through me are giving money to advance the Kingdom of God , not to increase my personal net worthI live modestly: prayerfully and carefully using the support that comes to Rick Lawrence Ministries to proclaim the "good news" about Jesus to people through RKL2.org website and Crossroads of Life radio program. My personal residence is a modest apartment. I mention this only to illustrate that I do not live in luxury.  I view the Lord's witness and ministry through me as an opportunity to also sacrifice from my personal  income to give more toward His work.

The Lord is drawing thousands of people to RKl2.org web site . RKL2.org is a teaching and ministry web site. Beyond the RKL2.org web site, Crossroads of Life radio program has an outreach to many thousands of listeners of whom  thousands access RKL2.org, and study the many pages of the site.  This Rick Lawrence Ministries web site is growing, steadily. I believe the time is short before Jesus returns to earth, as the Bible predicts.  RKL2.org is also a tremendous tool for teaching people in nations around the world. I trust this background has been of interest to you. As far as myself, Rick Lawrence, As I told one pastor friend of mine, recently, "I have everything but my shoe laces in the ministry of RKL2.org. I've given of myself to the point I have nothing more to give than I'm giving. Because of this, I am not ashamed to ask others to help me take Jesus Christ to the world. And much of this ministry is directed to people who never darken the door of a church. God loves them, and so do I.

It was Dwight Moody who said, "I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And that which I can do, by the grace of God, I will do." With that simple commitment, God used him to bring revival to England and America. Will you give of your finances to help me spread the Word of God to Lost and hurting people and let God use you to help win the them to Christ?  You can't do everything, but helping me to get Crossroads of Life program aired on more radio stations to reach out to thousands more people -- is something you Can do for Jesus!

Almost everyone has a radio or has access to a radio throughout the world -- radio is especially important in underdeveloped countries. In addition to adults, an overwhelming number of young people are listening -- even in the USA.  Polls tell us that increasingly, millions of people are watching less TV and are spending more time on their computers, especially younger people.  I fully expect Crossroads of Life to be airing all around the world in the future.  Help me to make that a reality! There are millions of people  that can be reached with Crossroads of Life radio program.

Our best days are ahead of us, Lord willing, to reach hundreds of millions of people together!  We are spreading the word of God to thousands of people on our great planet through Crossroads of Life radio program and RKL2.org website!

We can't just do nothing and let Satan keep trying to discredit Jesus, we can fight back -- "Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world!" 1 John 4:4.

I have such a burden to rescue people with the truth of the Bible and the knowledge of how Jesus Christ was beaten, scourged [whipped] crucified on a cross and died -- taking on himself the punishment for the sins of all people. he took our place on the cross, He died there for us! He was then resurrected and ascended into heaven. He lives today and wants to use you and me as his ambassadors to spread his Word that many people might accept him as Savior and Lord of their life.

I plan to reach out with the ads [or similar ones] to a growing number of cities [areas]. You know, Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the world.  Jesus spoke to His disciples in Acts 1:8 and it applies to us, too:  "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  Again, in Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus commanded,  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  I, Rick Lawrence, have taken my stand for Jesus. I'm doing all I can -- as the Holy Spirit guides me -- to teach the masses about Jesus Christ as He has commanded all true believers to do.  I encourage you to get involved and help me. Your financial donations and prayers will be a tremendous help. Thank you.

Proof That Jesus Christ Lived On Earth

Noted historians living in Jesus' day have written about Jesus Christ being alive on earth: about His miracles and His death on the Cross. You will be surprised at what they said. Through research, I have found this historical proof of His life on earth.

Hi! My name is Rick Lawrence. I have a website with a lot of cool stuff:: Predictions about the future, How to get to heaven when you die, Bible Q and A: God's Son, Jesus, wants to help you with your problems including: Spiritual, mental and physical healing, also see info to help you find Honest Answers to Tough Questions like: Who is Jesus-really? Why did He live? Why did He die? How did He live again? Is Jesus truly God? Is He the way to God and everlasting life?

Go to site http://www.RKL2.org  Check it out! Thousands of earthlings surf this site.

See you there. Your friend,  Dr. Rick Lawrence

---------------------

I have also been praying that God will open the way for us to put an ad [RKL2.org] on myspace.com (80 million youth members); friendster.com; xanga.com; and facebook.com and the new Bebo.com that teens are flocking to -- these are all web sites for young people that total into the millions. We could reach millions of youth by just inviting them to surf RKL2.org website. Please join me in prayer asking the Lord to open the doors. It would be a tremendous ministry to reach youth in the USA and all over the world!

Rick's entire preaching/teaching ministry is based on free will offerings. It  takes  money to put the Crossroads of Life radio  program on broadcasting stations. Crossroads, in its 10 minute spot, reaches out to people in their cars, trucks, work, home and in only 10 minutes holds the secular world's attention; Crossroads is designed to be interesting and every program tells about Jesus and ends with an invitation and prayer to accept Him as personal Savior. It also refers people to RKKL2.org web site.

I believe the Lord wants us to prosper -- but for what reason? In my opinion, it is not only to live without lack, but to spread His Word, and be able to help the poor and suffering.  I'm always mindful that  hardworking people give-- sacrificially -- expecting their money to be used as intended -- for reaching out to a lost and hurting world.  Time is short before the Lord Jesus returns. We need to labor in the harvest fields of the Lord with all of our abilities and resources being responsible in using donations and gifts as they are intended. Please step forward in the cause of Christ and send a gift of finances to help me lift up Jesus Christ to lost and hurting people, everywhere. Don't let the devil trick you into thinking someone else will probably send finances and you won't need to do so. When you feel the prompting of the Holy Spirit with the thought that you can help and make a difference -- do act on it!  RKL2.org is a teaching web site, and is in place; Crossroads of Life radio program is in place, and I am open to invitations to speak and teach in churches and groups. I'm doing about all I can with the Lord's help. Don't hesitate, my friend, take a stand for Christ -- send help!  I believe God will bless you for it.   Send gifts to:  Rick Lawrence Ministries, 1200 Riverside Dr #123, International Falls MN 56649.  If you wish tax deductibility for your gift. please see your church office and write check to theml; ask that they send it to  my Rick Lawrence Ministries address.  Thanks.  Blessings on you!       In His Service, Rick
