Spiritual counsel by Rick Lawrence,
D.D.
What
You think, then speak with your mouth often determines your
present and future success, health, wealth and happiness.
Our words are often the key to
the condition of our hearts. Matt. 12:34 "...For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks."
In 1916, Albert
Einstein formulated aspects of his theory of Relativity -- involving
gravitational aspects of the universe. time and space. Later, he and
his colleague, Nathan Rosen, formulated the Einstein -Rosen
bridge theory of transferable
aspects of Electrons passing through space curvature which Electrons,
et.Al. might be threaded through a structure of space tunnel(s) to
join by lines of force contiguous parts of the universe. thus, their
theory of wormholes, black holes etc. was introduced. I'm venturing
out of my knowledge base (field) here --upper strata physicists
and mathematicians could better explain these theories.
What got me started
toward this research was what the biblical account stated in the Bible
book of Genesis -- that God spoke the universe, as we know it, and
features of our earth, et, Al, into existence. The human mind seems to
have trouble wrapping itself around is idea. On the other hand, There
are some evidences of mind phenomena that causes me to wonder
about possible correlations. I realize the Einstein-Rosen bridge
dosn't formulate how spoken words could be transferable in time and
space. Is there some quality of resonance or other that can
thread through the e-r bridge via worm holes? I, of course, will leave
this up to the experts in this field, but I note that often scientists
come up with new findings, e.g. in 2011, I noted that the scientific community
has found new evidence that certain aspects of DNA can be rolled-back.
It
is common knowledge that repeated affirmations or self-talk, if
continued long enough, will tend to program or reprogram the
subjective or unconscious mind. If
we continuously think or talk positively, we are programmed positively; if we
continuously think or talk negatively, we are programmed negatively. If you
want to know what you believe about yourself and the rest of the
world, as you perceive it, start listening to your thoughts and
conversation.
If we think or say often enough that we cannot do a particular
thing,
failure takes place in our subconscious (unconscious) mind. A
behavioral imprint may then be formed in our unconscious mind that will cause us to automatically
fail whenever we face the same situation in the future. In other
words, a subconscious belief is established in our inner mind that
gives us a strong feeling that we will fail and may well cause us to
fail. We
tend to fulfill what we think or say.
We are in large measure
ruled or governed by our thought and words. You can see how
important it is to affirm or confess the right words. If we think
positively and our self-talk affirms that we can do things, it becomes
self-fulfilling. These positive thoughts and affirmations or
confessions will then tend to establish positive behavioral imprints
that program us to succeed.
In the original Greek of the biblical New Testament Scriptures, we find an interesting word. It is the word homologeo
(hom-ol-og-eh'o pronounced with a hard g as in get). It means to acknowledge or
agree fully. This Greek word is used, for instance, in the NT
book of Romans, chpt.10, verse 9 and 10. It says, "That if
you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will
be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are
saved." The word homologeo is translated into English
as confess.
Confess, therefore, means to say the same thing as or agree
with. Agree with what? In this case, confess or confession
means to say the same thing as, or agree with God and his Word. We
are to do this in every circumstance at all times. In our
thoughts and conversation, we are to agree with God or affirm the
words of the Bible as our truth. We are to
agree with God's Word regardless of circumstances, conditions,
symptoms or other natural evidences we may experience. This
immutable law of confession applies to regular life and a great
deal more when we understand and live according to the wisdom of
God's Word.
Here is the way it works: when we agree with God and confess, or
say the same things he says in his Word, we show our faith,
confidence and trust in God and his Word. God has built-in rewards
in his Word, that is, if we agree and confess or affirm what he
says in his Word and we are not a backslider or rebellious toward
God or the Lord Jesus Christ, we will likely receive the promises
that back up his Word.
The apostle James had a lot to say about this
in the New Testament book of James. If you believe God's Word, you will do
more than just read or hear it; you will confess, affirm, agree
with it and act on the Word. Why did James believe this so
strongly? James, sat under the teaching of Jesus and knew there
was only one way to release the promises of God's Word into our
individual lives. He knew to confess or affirm, e.g., agree and act upon
our belief in God's Word, the Bible, is the
key
to receiving the
promises of God.
If you haven't asked Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and invited him
into your heart and life as your personal Lord and Savior, you are
missing out on a lot of promises of help for your life. Jesus
died on the cross for you and wants you to invite him into your
heart.. 1 Peter 3:9 says, "He is patient with you, not wanting
anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." He
wants people to repent, that is, to change their heart and mind, ask
his forgiveness and open the door of their heart to him.(Rev.3:20)
The first greatest miracle change in your life will happen when
you cross the line and ask Jesus to take over the 'steering wheel' of
your life. That's what it means to receive Jesus Christ as your
personal Savior and Lord of your life.
“If you were standing before Jesus and he asked you ‘why should I
let you into my kingdom?’ what would you say? “The
Bible says that we have all done wrong.”
“The Bible says the payment for doing wrong is Hell.” (Rom.6:23) But
we get to go to heaven if we just ask.”
“Is there any reason why
you would want to spend eternity in hell?”
I’m sure practically all of you are saying no!
GREAT! Let
me help you pray right where you are, Speak
or whisper the words as we pray.
“Mean these words
with your whole heart.”
“Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me for all of the things I
have done wrong. I acknowledge the fact that I am a sinner I ask for
your forgiveness. . I repent, changing my heart and mind, I turn away
from my sins. I open the door of my heart to you now, Jesus I place my
faith in you Jesus who died for my sin and made a way for me to have
eternal life.” I ask you Jesus to come into my heart as my personal Savior and become
the Lord of my life. Help me to live for you. Thank you Lord for this
miracle that causes me to be spiritually born again. Help
me to live this new life, to obey your commands and do what pleases
you. Amen
If you prayed this prayer and meant it with all of your heart, you
will have crossed over the line and accepted Jesus into your heart
life. In the Bible, the book of Revelation, chapter 3, verse 20 Jesus
is speaking and says, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone
hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with
him, and he with me." When you invited Him to come into your
heart and life, you can be certain Jesus keeps his promise, he has
come into your heart by His Holy Spirit and you have become
spiritually born again. You have become a 'forever' member of the
family of God. You have crossed over from eternal death unto eternal
life. (John 5:24). You can read more about being spiritually born
again [given a new life] in Christ. See: John 3:3-5 Jesus told
Nicodemus all about it.
[Rick's
prayer for you]
-- Lord Jesus, I ask
you, now, to heal the many people who need healing and are reading
this message. And
by the authority of the name of Jesus Christ, I speak to the
many who need deliverance
from addictions or other problems: spirit, mind or body and I say to
them, "Jesus sets you free" Believe, receive and serve Him
with all of your heart. and mind. Thank
you God for your great mercy and compassion.
So be it.
You will find a click here link to a new believers Bible study
I have written; it is on the RKL2.org home page about the middle of
the page or below.
If an individual
rejects Christ, then God may refuse his help with the problem in that
person's life. It follows that in our earthly lives, we may also be
denied help or favor if, as true believers, we behave with
disobedience or rebellion.
In John 10:10 Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the
fullest."
He wants to save you, that is, to give you a spiritual rebirth by
coming to live within you, and to then prosper you: spirit, soul
and body. This your chance to receive Him and have a new life in
Christ. Don't miss out on this opportunity.
Are you a believer struggling with a death or loss?
Why not affirm this verse in the Bible, "Give thanks in all
circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ
Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Continuously affirm or confess this verse
in all of your circumstances and you will experience the help and
peace of God in your circumstances.
The Holy Spirit has given you enlightenment regarding what
I have written about confession. You can now see the dynamics of Romans
10:9,10. The first thing you should encourage a new believer to do is to confess
that he
or she has
received Jesus Christ into his or
her heart and life. This confession may be given as a form of
testimony before a group or congregation, or to friends or relatives;
the sooner the better.
In instructing the new believer, tell him or her that it is important
to testify to the individual's acceptance of Christ. Show them the verses of
Rom.10:9,10. There is something
about this initial confession that locks the believer's decision into
his heart and mind -- as he or she receives Christ and passes from
spiritual death unto spiritual life in Jesus Christ, King of
Kings and Lord of Lords. I have found that confessing or testifying of
this acceptance of Christ has a significant strengthening effect in a
believer's life. Further, nothing is so dynamic or attractive than a
person testifying to how Jesus Christ has changed his/her life. People
in our communities are greatly impacted by changed lives.
My friends, we never depend on our natural feelings if they are in opposition to
God's Word. Are you acting on God's promises by affirming them? That is what true faith is,
agreeing with God and His Word.
God's Word is independent of our feelings. His promises are always
true, regardless of our own feelings or what other people may
say in denial of his Word. I urge you to refer often to His Word in
the Bible: believe it, stand on it and continuously confess or affirm it. The day may come when things
are so distorted and violent in the world that all you will have to
help you will be what you have learned or memorized from God's Word.
Again, are you acting on His Word? Many believers say they want to
know God's Will. Fine!
His Word is his Will. Does God honor his Word today the same way he
honored it in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible? Yes! He absolutely
honors his Word today -- in real time -- just as he has always honored his
Word with his people of past generations. Observe these Bible verses:
Exodus 15:26 "...for I am the LORD, who heals you."
2 Samuel
22:31 "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is
flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.
Proverbs 30:5 "Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to
those who take refuge in him."
Jeremiah 1:12 "The LORD said to me, "You have seen
correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled."
1 Kings 8:56 "...Not one word has failed of all the good promises..."
Malachi 3:6 "... I the LORD do not change."
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life."
John 1:12 " Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in
his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in
everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your
requests to God."
Philippians 4:13 " I can do everything through him who gives me
strength."
1 Peter
1:25 "...but the word of the Lord stands forever."
You may have noticed that people's words and actions tend to agree
with their thoughts and opinions. What do I mean? By listening
closely to another person's words, or even your own words, you can
usually determine what the person is like, what the person believes
and often practices. We learn in the Scriptures, " for out of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." (Matthew
12:34)
Jesus said he was not speaking and teaching new truth from his
own knowledge and wisdom, rather, he was listening to God: teaching
and doing what God wants people to hear and receive. Therefore, the
truth Jesus was talking about was the truth of God's Word. people's
beliefs and values may change from generation to generation, but God's
Word stands forever settled in the heavens. Only God's Word is
constant, faithful and will never fail us.
Now if we believe God's Word, what do we
believe about this verse in Proverbs 4:20-22:"My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.
The word health is translated from the Hebrew word marpe'
(mar-pay') and means: a medicine, cure, deliverance, remedy, or
healing. This is God's Word to us. He lays it out in an easy to
understand words. Do it and reap the benefits it guarantees.
In summation - agree with God's Word. Memorize verses of the Word and affirm them as
God's truth and his Will for you. Your life will take on a new
dimension of faith, motivation, peace, happiness and security in
Christ. You will be able to expect positive changes in your
emotional, mental and physical life, and
consistently experience answers to your prayers. .
