Meeting Planners FAQ: Note: Rick does not schedule appearances in northern, mountain or plains states, provinces or other areas subject to snow or ice problems from November thru April of each year. This is a weather related decision that avoids the logistical problems associated with cancellations due to winter storms, snow or ice conditions. Rick is currently
scheduling meetings [sessions] of three (3) days [or evenings] 3 hours per
each session.. The
format of each 3 hour session is: 2 hours teaching on biblical topics as
listed in one of the topical series offered, plus a 1 hour Deeper Life
after-meeting open to any or all people who wish to stay for this part of
the session. Note: Rick believes God has given the medical and
psychological fields for health and healing. He also believes prayer for
healing is helpful and can bring miracle deliverance and healing. Rick
cautions people to avoid extreme behavior such as throwing your glasses
away in faith that your eyes have been healed, and driving semi-blind, or
discontinuing your medically prescribed medication for the same reason. If
you have been healed as a result of prayer, realize God has provided the
medical fields for human help. It is all right and helpful to visit your
doctor for confirmation of your bodily healing through spiritual prayer.
If you have been spiritually healed, it may be instant healing, or take
place over time. And in time you will outgrow your need
for medications, and so forth. Biblical topics studied focus on the Bible's
answer to questions in the minds of most people: Series
I, II, III, IV are each a topic that is covered in 3 days
of meetings. Meeting planners may choose which series they wish to
be presented as they schedule three (3) days of meetings with Rick
Lawrence.

Q: Where are the meetings held? A: Speeches or seminars with Rick may be scheduled for daytime or evening. Homes, conference rooms (in motels/hotels, etc.), churches, halls or auditoriums are suitable. Note: depending on the size of your expected audience, it is better to have a smaller crowd in a smaller auditorium. This prevents the feeling and image of a smaller crowd being swallowed up in a large auditorium. It does affect people. If you ticket a meeting, be sure to collect the tickets even if no admission is being charged. Q: What is Rick's fee? A: A One time fee of $150 total (covers 3 days). plus freewill offering. Community Sector: Club, Activity meetings, Banquets, Luncheons, Special events, Churches, Home or Small groups, Senior communities. *Associations, professional or business entities see below for details. 1 day/event: Seminar - 3 - 6 hrs. $150 fee plus freewill offering ; Single speech or sermon: $150.00. Q: How are the meetings held? A: 3 days of meetings: 2 hrs. per session, plus1 hr. Deeper Life after-meeting for those present who wish to consider a higher level of dedication and devotion to God in their spiritual lives. Note: the topical teaching sessions are two hours long. At the finish of the two hour session an altar call is given for those who wish to accept Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord of their life. The session is then closed with the announcement that all who wish to depart to take care of their family needs, appointments, etc. are dismissed to leave the meeting quietly. It is announced that an after-meeting will commence in 10 minutes; it will focus on deeper life, holiness, healing prayers; deliverance and a renewing of dedication in a believer's spiritual life. The after meeting will last up to one hour. You may want to hold meetings in cooperation with another group This will allow you to share Rick's travel expenses. Q. How many hours each meeting? A: The meetings or seminars are 2 hours per session with a 10 minute break each hour (50 minutes teaching, 10 minute break). If your meeting or seminar is three sessions long, it will be held for 3 days - 2 hr. sessions per day (or evening). There have been many wonderful decisions and dedications -- during the meetings -- of the Lord's ministry through Rick. The many changed lives are testimonies to the presence of the Lord as He meets people's needs. The benefits are: stronger Christians, more dedicated to each other and the Church; more loving, forgiving, obedient and giving. Q: What about materials? A: An 8.5 X 11 inch meeting announcement/event poster is available when you schedule Rick for meetings. The poster advertises the meetings and displays his photo. You can use a copier to reproduce as many copies as you want to post the notice of your meetings. There are spaces on the poster where you can fill in your meeting dates and times with a marker pen. An original of the poster will be forwarded to you as soon as meeting dates are established and confirmed. A short squib for a PSA (Public Service Announcement) newspaper and/or radio of the meetings and brief article regarding meeting topics will be included with the event posters. Q: What days are best for meetings? A: Best: Tues, Wed., Thurs; good: Fri, Sat, Sun; poor: Monday. Q: How do I Book Rick for Meetings? A: Submit two different dates which will be viable meeting dates for you. It is best to plan 30-60 days ahead'; this will give you time for arranging and properly advertising the meetings. Rick will notify you ASAP which date will fit in with his schedule. You are welcome to contact your friends or associates in your area and suggest they host the meetings with you, or host separate meetings with Rick directly after your meetings with him are completed. Additional meetings will influence the date of return on a roundtrip airline ticket, but you will have the advantage of assistance in the travel costs with the other cooperating group or church. The motive for additional meetings is to lift up Jesus to more unbelievers and instruct, enlighten and kindle additional, strong growth in more believers. A secondary benefit is the sharing a portion of travel expenses with each cooperating group or congregation. Agreement - Rick has found that booking works best when all is in black and white and commitments are based on some action. With this in mind: 1. Rick will forward a copy of direct route mileage to the meeting planner, along with a brief agreement with his signature guaranteeing his appearance at the date and time of the event. Upon receipt of the agreement, the event planner, or person of authority, can sign the agreement, and return a copy to Rick with a bank check in the amount of roundtrip car travel expense for the event and $150 the minimum meeting guarantee. In the case of an airline ticket to bring Rick to your meeting location: forward the eticket receipt, the confirmation details page and flight itinerary and a signed copy of the agreement. The agreement contains a travel refund clause in case of meeting cancellation (which to date has never happened) Your booking date and time will be acknowledged and guaranteed. Rick prefers to arrive at your location approximately 6-8 hrs before the scheduled time of the event. Please return the agreement by certified mail at least three weeks before your event date. FAQ: Car and/or airline travel expenses, lodging and meals. Q: How do I arrange to cover the above expenses? A: Car Travel - Rick calculates his car mileage at .45 cents per mile X (times) the total round trip mileage from his residence to your location and return. He uses MapQuest.com for updated, computerized directions to plan the most direct route to your location. A print out will be sent to you for verification of trip mileage. Rick drives in his car to events up to 150 miles (one way) from his residence. Airline Travel - Rick does not purchase the airline tickets for speeches or meetings. Once he confirms speaking or meeting dates with you, the event or meeting planner should purchase a roundtrip eticket for Rick's flight to your location -- 21 days in advance, if possible. Airlines are switching to electronic tickets called etickets. An eticket, is your guarantee of reservation for a flight. Caution: due to screening delays that are causing passengers to miss their flights, Rick requires his flight to your location to be booked for departure and arrival on the day previous to your event. It is the only way to prevent an embarrassing "no show" for your meeting or event. As one of Americas top business executives once said, "Previous planning prevents poor performance." When you purchase the eticket, you will be given a confirmation number as your proof of purchase; the passenger's name on the eticket should be Richard K. Lawrence. The origin of the flight should be Tampa International Airport (TIA) to your location. If your location is a smaller city or town, the last leg of the flight from TIA may be on a commuter airline. If you wish to pick Rick up by car for the last leg of the trip that is OK Once the eticket is purchased, the flight details will then be in the airline's computer. Note: an eticket is different than a boarding pass. The eticket reserves your seat on the flight, but you cannot board the airplane without a boarding pass. Rick will have to check-in with the airline to receive his boarding pass. Airlines now require him to present a printed receipt of his e-ticket in order to receive a boarding pass to board the plane. Rick will need: 1. printed receipt of the eticket purchase 2. printed confirmation details page, or a confirmation email to present at the airline ticket counter. If he does not have these items, he will not be able to board the flight 3. flight itinerary so he knows the details of the flight. Please forward these items to Rick's mailing address using certified mail. It is important for the event or meeting planner to purchase an airline ticket for Rick well in advance of the event. As soon as your meeting agenda is confirmed with him, it would be a good idea to consider making the airline reservation, and the eticket, itself, should be purchased at least 21 days in advance to be certain a seat is reserved. If possible, the eticket should be paid for by credit card, especially if it involves a pre-arranged, one way ticket agreed upon during booking Rick. This may occur when one or more other groups or churches are scheduled in your immediate area. Not a problem, only a matter of working-out details. Note: Scheduling of two or
more events or meetings in succession with Rick will mean additional time
lapse in a return airline flight to Tampa Bay. Details can be worked
out via email or mail as to what ticket arrangements should be made. If you
want to schedule Rick near or during holidays, that is OK, however,
you will want to make airline reservations as far in advance as possible.
People often book reservations months in advance for holidays. Some good
advice is: If you're not used to online booking of etickets, go to a
travel agent and purchase the ticket. Don't forget to mail to Rick the three items
mentioned above. Q: About Travel, lodging and meals: A: 1. If scheduled with a church, Rick will stay at the church if budget is a factor. A bed, chair, lamp, lamp table is sufficient 2. Rick desires to stay in a hotel or motel when ministering in meetings with groups or churches. Under normal circumstances, Rick prefers a hotel or motel room with internet access, since he needs time for prayer, study and time to conduct his normal agenda concerning RKL2.website and Crossroads of Life responses. Genuine financial barriers will not exclude your group from Rick's ministry. Write or E-mail him with your comments and he may be able to schedule with you -- as the Lord makes finances available to him. Lodging - For three day meetings plan for 3 nights; for speaking engagement or pulpit supply, as guest minister, plan for one night. You may want to schedule Rick with other groups and then share the travel, lodging, meals expense between the groups.. 2. Speaking or pulpit events local to Tampa Bay/St.Petersburg, or within 50 miles - lodging will not be necessary, regardless of the time of day, Rick will return to his residence after the event. The exception would be if he is scheduled for 3 days of meetings, or for a speech or seminar, in another community, the following day. In that case, he prefers to stay the night and travel to the other event the next day. These things can be considered when booking arrangements are discussed. *Associations, professional groups or businesses may contact Rick for details and fees for single speeches or one session seminar regarding the following speech or seminar topics: I. Contemporary Israel and the Middle East Conflict II. Biblical Perspectives -- Can We Win the War on Terror?
