Bible prophecy indicates, in the days to come, the world will experience great crises. War and terrorism will expand to a frightful degree. It has been estimated, currently, there are about 28,000 nuclear warheads in the world. Most of these are in the USA and Russia, however Britain, France, India, Pakistan and China have Nukes. A news article recently stated that Israel has 41 nuclear warheads. It would seem illogical for some dictator, militant factor or government in the Mid east to threaten or push Israel into a defensive corner where Israel might feel survival depends on a nuclear strike.

     Recent intelligence reports suggest that al Qaeda terrorist network may have or will soon have nuclear capabilities for use in attacking population centers. Other intelligence sources indicate the 1 Kiloton (equal to an explosive force equivalent to that of 1000 tons of TNT) nuclear suitcase bombs developed by Russia are not all accounted for. Are some in the hands of terrorists? Can we escape the burgeoning risk of terrorism assault with these weapons? One of our greatest dangers is the potential of weapons of mass destruction including: anthrax, smallpox, botulism and others falling into the hands of terrorists.  Some authorities believe this is happening. Will the USA and other Christian nations now suffer a surge of homicide-bombers such as the nation Israel is experiencing? How can we protect ourselves? How much time does our world have?  

     A report in the Chicago Sun times newspaper (USA) dated 7/14/07 says:

• • The United States will face ''a persistent and evolving terrorist threat'' within its borders over the next three years.

• • Al-Qaida is probably still pursuing chemical, biological or nuclear weapons and would use them if it developed sufficient capability.

     Israel has also recently purchased and taken delivery of two, state of the art, hi-tech, diesel-electric submarines from Germany. Iran has also recently purchased a diesel-electric sub from Russia. Iran plans to use the sub in the Persian gulf. The Persian gulf is 615 miles long and rarely exceeds 300 ft in depth. Incidentally, the normal operating depth of the sub is around 300 feet. So, it will have room to maneuver and do OK in the Gulf.

     There are passages in the Bible that can only refer to nuclear strikes. The following verses are about end times, near or at the end of this age. Note these two verses in  Zechariah 14:12  "This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that have fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths."  Zech.14:15  "A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps." This is what happens to people and animals when the ground level fireball and radiation sweep over an area where a nuclear device or bomb has been detonated.

      Several passages are also found in the Book of Revelation in the Bible that speak of great destruction and loss of 1/3rd of earth's people. The verses can only mean nukes. The nuclear bursts cause atmospheric condition with dust and ash in the air that blocks out the sun for months eliminating growing seasons causing what is known as  nuclear winter. I reveal these verses in the  meetings where I have been asked to teach on Bible prophecy.

      Here are some quotes from a Dec.2002  New York Times article entitled, Meeting Daily, U.S. Nerve Center Prepares for Terrorists by Philip Shenon and Eric Schmitt. Place: Peterson AFB at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain security complex.

     Gen. Ralph E. Eberhart of the Air Force, a four-star general who is now the nation's top [military] officer responsible for domestic security, mulls over doomsday scenarios for a new wave of attacks by Al Qaeda or some other terrorist group.

     "By air or ship or truck or suicide bomber," General Eberhart said in a recent interview, listing the threats that he must be ready to confront as the head of the military's new Northern Command. "Medical scenarios: smallpox, you name the disease that we might be involved in in terms of quarantine." 

     "What if an airport is attacked, or a seaport?" he continued. "You name the infrastructure. It could be a bridge, it could be an oil refinery, the list goes on and on. We can all envision the terrible things that might happen."

      Jesus, discussed it in Luke 17:26-30, "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.  "It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. "It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man [Jesus] is revealed.

       Paul in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 said, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

       The Bible clearly predicts there will be terrorism and strikes that will use missiles with nuclear (probably atomic and Hydrogen) warheads. Let me explain in simple fashion the meaning of Bible verses -- especially in the Book of Revelation -- resulting in bioterrorism plagues and nuclear radiation throughout the world. We are in a very dangerous period of the end of this age. Further, nations like North Korea. And Iran (several warheads purchased from Russia) it is quite possible that evil dictators will attack us with nukes planted in a ship or other exported containers. 

        Primary targets are rated as follows: 1) east coast, 2) states of California and Washington.   I believe  that Al Quaeda's  terrorism  will also come  to  the  shores of  the  western  Hemisphere with  a continuous  rash  of  suicide bombings, biochemical attacks, nuclear dirty bombs and  other  incidents  throughout  the  USA, Canada, Mexico. I also believe there will be terrorist cells ( home grown terrorism) that will carry-out the same type of attacks in our countries.  It has been proved that no one is safe -- not even children.

The Coming Persecution 
      

      Ancient Old Testament manuscripts and New Testament writings of the Bible predict events that will take place before the return of Christ to earth.      The Book of Revelation (Seminar series) This is a three-session, in-depth teaching series covering major, end time world events.  We find in the book of Revelation, a fascinating chronology of prophetic predictions of past, present and  future world  events  leading  to  the  final  Battle  of Armageddon.       This decision is not based on other people's opinions, on relatives, or on creeds, beliefs, and so forth; it is simply a personal decision between you, God and the Lord Jesus Christ. You have freedom to choose.
