Billions of people are searching for the
truths of our existence: who
we are, our
purpose i n
life and who we can turn to for reliable
answers. We can find the answers
to human needs and problems -- why we are
here and what the future holds for us.
Three great
questions each of us faces in life
are about personal destiny:
Where is my life
headed?
What
am I living for?
What
will happen to me after death?
Most of these
answers are found in the Bible.
An
illogical person says
there is no God.
[He or she says] all the wonders
around us are accidental.
No almighty hand made a
thousand billion stars.
They made themselves. No power keeps
them on their steady course.
The earth spins itself to keep
the oceans from falling off toward the sun.
Infants teach themselves to
cry when they are hungry or hurt.
A small flower invented itself
so that we could extract digitalis for sick
hearts.
The earth gave
itself day and night, tilted itself so that
we get seasons.
Without the magnetic
poles man would be unable to navigate the
trackless oceans of water and air, but they
just grew there. How about the
sugar thermostat in the pancreas?
It maintains a level of sugar in the
blood sufficient for energy.
Without it, all of us would fall into
a coma and die.
Why does snow sit on
mountain-tops waiting for the warm spring
sun to melt it at just the right time for
the young crops in farms below to drink?
A very lovely accident?
The human heart will beat
for 70 or 80 years without faltering. How
does it get sufficient rest between beats?
A kidney will filter
poison from the blood, and leave good things
alone.
How does it know one from the other?
Who gave the human tongue
flexibility to form words, and a brain to
understand them, but denied it to all
animals?
Who showed a womb how to take
the love of two persons and keep splitting a
tiny ovum until, in time, a baby would have
the proper number of fingers, eyes and ears
and hair in the right places, and come into
the world when it is strong enough to
sustain life?

During
the Middle Ages Earth was thought to be
flat
That view
was held so fanatically that some
scientists living then were threatened
with death if they supported any other
theory. Yet, the Prophet Isaiah writing
in 740 BC, hundreds of years earlier,
referred to the earth as
"circular" (Isa.40:22). He
[God] sits enthroned above
the circle of the earth...."
Isaiah could only have known this truth
by the Holy Spirit's impartation of this
knowledge to him.

in the last decades via sonar was
it discovered that there are Valleys or
pathways in the oceans and seas.
Centuries before Christ, Psalm 8:8 spoke
of pathways

Q:
Okay, but is the Bible relevant for me,
today? A: People
and society often change from generation to
generation. Beliefs held by one generation
may be repudiated or out of fashion by the
next generation. The Bible, the Word of God,
is reliable and trustworthy for every
generation. In Daniel 4:3, we read,
"How great are his signs! and how
mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an
everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is
from generation to generation."
Luke 1:50 " And his mercy is on them
that fear him from generation to
generation." In Matthew 24:35,
Jesus said, "Heaven and earth
shall pass away, but my words shall not pass
away."
Are
you troubled with concerns and problems?
I
believe for everyone on planet earth who is
struggling with problems, for instance:
health, relationship, financial, or
spiritual concerns, the answer begins at a
starting point.
I believe the Bible has the miracle
answer. The greatest answer to the concerns
and problems we face in life is a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ. This miracle
step: 1) settles the question of “where
will we spend eternity when we die.
Do realize that when God's plan for
your life is concluded, you will die
physically here on earth; if you are
spiritually born again, you will be taken
instantly to heaven.
2) In the mean time, when we make
Jesus Christ our personal Savior and the
Lord of our life, He will help us with
the many concerns and problems we face.
This
does not
mean any of us will be unaffected by
these concerns and problems, but it brings
the truths of the Bible and the help of
Jesus, the Son of Jehovah God who will show
us the way to overcome life’s problems.
Jesus will often directly intervene to set
us free from these bondages. It is a win,
win decision you can make, right now. The
starting point means you will be changed --
spiritually born again. You will have a new
start. The
Bible, God's Word, guarantees it: 2
Corinthians 5:17.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he
is a new creation; the old has gone, the new
has come!"
Hell
-- Jesus spoke
of a place of punishment. Language about
hell seeks to describe for humans the most
awful punishment human language can describe
to warn unbelievers before it is too late.
Earthly experience would lead us to believe
that the nature of punishment will fit the
nature of the sin. Certainly, no one wants
to suffer the punishment of hell, and
through God's grace the way for all is open
to avoid hell and know the blessings of
eternal life through Christ
Are
You 100% Certain Where You Will Spend
Eternity? This
how- to information mirrors the same
teaching Jesus gave to Nicodemus in John
3:1-17. Jesus
wasn't talking about changing your church,
or becoming a preacher, priest, missionary
or anything like that. He was talking about
your personal relationship with God and
Himself.
Jesus
loves you. How much? He died
on a cross for all the people in the world
-- past, present and future; that
includes you and me. Read about it in the
blue column on this page. I am
privileged to introduce Jesus to people of
all ethnic backgrounds and situations in
life. Jesus wants you to understand
that He created everything in the universe,
including you, and knows all about you. The
Bible says in John 3:16 "For
God so loved the world that he gave his one
and only Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life."
and John 1:12. "Yet
to all who received him, to those who
believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God"
Jesus wants you to believe in him in a
personal way and to understand, He is
the Savior and Lord for all persons who will
turn from their sins [wrong doings], believe
in Him and receive [accept] him as Savior
and Lord of his or her life. Jesus
is interested in you
and
wants, not only to be your Savior and Lord
of your life, but also your friend.
* The Bible teaches, that
children who are too young and others who
are not able to understand the good news
about receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord
are not accountable and are taken by the
angels to heaven should they die. When they
are old enough and/or able to understand and
be accountable to Jesus, they will then need
to believe and accept Him just as everyone
else must do. You
can read below about God's plan for you to
inherit a place in heaven when you die. You
will find out about the promises of Jesus to
help you with your life, when you receive
Him as personal Savior and Lord.
God
loves sinful human beings and desires all to
come to repentance. Rick reaches out to
persons with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In
the biblical accounts of Jesus, as
described in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
time after time it shows that he was also a
friend of drunkards, prostitutes thieves and
other marginalized outsiders. He reached out
and touched the lost, hurting, and suffering
persons on the fringes of society.
Rick follows the Lord in this matter. He
feels God has called him to minister not
only to healthy in spirit, mind and body,
but to sick as well as marginalized people
who the Lord Jesus also loves, greatly.
To
everyone who desires to 'connect'
with God through Jesus Christ and make the
kind of decision that will bring eternal
life, blessing, help and protection into his
or her life
--
read below.
Couples,
why
not make this decision together; it will
also strengthen your relationship or
marriage.
The
first greatest miracle change in your life
will happen when you
cross the line and ask Jesus to take over
the 'steering wheel' of your life.
Making the decision to ask
Christ to become the Lord of your life
results in spiritual rebirth, which is His
covenant with you awarding you eternal life;
it is a miracle impartation that gives you a
new beginning. Again, the Bible
makes it clear; It
does not mean you have to change your church
affiliation, become hyper-religious,
get into the ministry, become a leader in
the church or anything else. It
is the point of decision in which you, as an
individual, open the door of your heart and
trust Jesus to actively come into your heart
and life, as the Lord of your life and
Savior. And true to His Word, He will come
into your heart and make you a new person.
That's what it means to receive Jesus Christ
as your personal Savior and Lord of your
life.
Some
Verses in the Bible deal with people who
feel their good works or life is sufficient
to get them into heaven. The Bible says this
not a fact for 'all have sinned and come
short of the glory of God." Romans
3:23.
"The Lord knows those who are
his," and "Everyone who confesses
the name of the Lord must turn away from
wickedness." 2Tim.2:19
Here's
the good news! God hates sin and sinful
living, but loves the sinner.
"For God so loved the world that he
gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life." God's Son is Jesus.
He loved everyone-- so much that he died a
painfully, horrible death on the cross so
that people of planet earth can be
reconciled to God and their sins forgiven by
accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord of their
life and personal Savior; they will be be
saved and have eternal life. I
don't think God wants us to be robots, I
believe he wants us to worship Him in the
way that we can each show Him just how much
He means to us personally, then He can know
it is from our hearts and not from
brainwashing.
God
loves us with all of our faults and
mistakes. After all, He sent his Son, Jesus,
to die for sinners.
Hell --
Once again hear about Hell. Jesus
spoke of a place of punishment. Language
about hell seeks to describe for humans the
most awful punishment human language can
describe to warn unbelievers before it is
too late. Earthly experience would lead us
to believe that the nature of punishment
will fit the nature of the sin. Certainly,
no one wants to suffer the punishment of
hell, and through God's grace the way for
all is open to avoid hell and know the
blessings of eternal life through Christ
If you were standing before Jesus and he
asked you ‘why should I let you into my
kingdom?’ what would you say? “The
Bible says that we have all done wrong.”
“The Bible says the payment for
doing wrong is Hell.” (Rom.6:23) But
we get to go to heaven if we just
ask.”
“Is there any reason why you
would want to spend eternity in hell?”
I’m sure practically all of you are
saying no!
GREAT!
Let
me share with you something Jesus is saying
to you. It's found in the Bible, Book of
Revelation, chapter 3, verse 20. Jesus says,
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and fellowship with him [or
her] and he with me." Jesus is standing
at the door of your heart right now and
wants you to open the door. Let
me help you pray right where you are. Speak
or whisper the words as we pray.
“Mean
these words with your whole heart.”
“Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me
for all of the wrong things I have thought,
said and done in my life. I acknowledge the
fact that I am a sinner I ask for your
forgiveness. . I repent, changing my heart
and mind, I turn away from my sins. I open
the door of my heart to you now, Jesus I
place my faith in you who died for my sin
and made a way for me to have eternal
life.” I
ask you to come into my heart as my personal
Savior and become the Lord of my life. Thank
you Lord for this miracle that causes me to
be spiritually born again. Help
me to live this new life, to obey your
commands and do what pleases you. Thank you
that my name has now been written in he Book
of Life and I have become a 'forever' member
of the family of God. Amen
If you prayed this prayer and meant it
with all of your heart, you will have
crossed over the line and accepted Jesus
into your heart life. In the Bible,
the book of Revelation, chapter 3, verse 20
Jesus is speaking and says, "Behold,
I stand at the door and knock. If anyone
hears my voice and opens the door, I will
come in and fellowship with him, and he with
me." When you invited Him to come into
your heart and life, you can be certain
Jesus keeps his promise, he has come into
your heart by His Holy Spirit and you have
become spiritually born again. You have
become a 'forever' member of the family of
God. You have crossed over from eternal
death unto eternal life. (John 5:24). You
can read more about being spiritually born
again [given a new life] in Christ. See:
John 3:3-5 Jesus told Nicodemus all about
it."
[Rick's
prayer for you]
-- Lord
Jesus, I ask you, now, to heal the many
people who need healing and are reading
this message. And by the authority of the
name of Jesus Christ, I speak to the
many who need deliverance from
addictions or other problems: spirit, mind
or body and I say to them, "Jesus sets
you free" Believe, receive and serve
Him with all of your heart. and mind.
Thank you God for your great mercy and
compassion.
So be it.
Have you received
Jesus Christ and been spiritually born
again? Here is a link to a new
believers Bible study I have written;
it is excellent for all believers
(Click
here).
As
a result of Rick's Christ-centered ministry,
thousands of men, women, teens and children
have experienced changed lives; many have
become free of addictions, sickness,
injuries, et. Al. Rick
has ministered in a deliverance ministry for
many years. Rick says, " My
relationship to God, Christ and the Holy
Spirit must absolutely be the supreme, pure,
focal point of my life. When I stay close to
the Lord, surrendered and abandoned into His
hands, abiding in his will for me, he is
unhindered and confirms His ministry through
me with signs following. My calling is to be
separated unto the Lord with surrender and
sanctification and to proclaim the glorious
redemption of the Lord Jesus Christ. As a
result, all other things follow as I
point people to Jesus."
John
3:14
The
Bible calls this "Lifting up
Jesus."
Rick
states his ministry office:
Evangelist and beyond;
in the Bible,
1Chronicles 16:22 and Psalm
105:15 says, "Do not touch my anointed
ones; do my prophets no harm."
Ask the Lord to make this clear to you;
he will. James 1:5
Q:
Rick, what's the biggest thing that annoys
you about people? A: I do get annoyed
with people in Christian churches or groups
who react like Pharisees to what the Bible
teaches -- especially about the Lord Jesus'
experiences with peoples and ministries of
His day. Many people either fail to
understand or reject what they don't want to
recognize regarding God's will for their
lives. See the following example:
John3:42 - 47 "
They said, "Is this not Jesus, the
son of Joseph, whose father and mother we
know? How can he now say, 'I came down from
heaven'?"
43 "Stop grumbling among
yourselves," Jesus answered.
44 "No one can come to me unless the
Father who sent me draws him, and I will
raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the Prophets: 'They will
all be taught by God.' Everyone who listens
to the Father and learns from him comes to
me.
46 No one has seen the Father except the one
who is from God; only he has seen the
Father.
47 I tell you the truth, he who believes has
everlasting life.
Rick
says, "I often receive supernatural
knowledge from the Lord regarding people or
situations; The Holy Spirit makes me to know
things that I cannot or have not known about
a person. It is a sign to a person that I am
speaking the truth in the Lord Jesus.
I will leave it there; the Holy Spirit will
make it clear to you. Nothing will
influence what the Lord makes me to know
about a person (s) , situations: past,
present or future; i speak what the Lord
makes me to know and nothing else; I
show no favoritism.
In
spite of the Holy Spirit using me in helping
or providing supernatural knowledge or
wisdom to an individual, group or church,
Some people act like those who only saw
Jesus as the son of Joseph and Mary; a man
who was raised locally and whom everyone
knew. They refused to acknowledge That the
Holy Spirit was upon Him. That does bother
me because I am very close to the Savior.
Further, I often get the same treatment when
I am assigned to an individual or to
people in a church or group. I'll leave it
there; the Holy Spirit will make it clear to
you regarding me.

"Empowered
Evangelicals" --
Dr.
David Wilkerson's testimony about
Infilling/baptism in the Holy Spirit
The
basic purpose of infilling [also known as
Baptism in the Holy Spirit] is an
empowerment subsequent to a believer's
salvation experience of being spiritually
born again. This deeper life experience
is power
for ministry and service,
Christian believers speak of a number of
effects. many speak primarily of: 1)
a strong sense of the
reality of God, the Holy Spirit dynamically
present, bearing witness to Jesus Christ and
glorifying the Father.
2) there is
testimony to an enhanced sense of the
Scriptures as the written Word of God, since
the same Holy Spirit who inspired them fully
is now said to be moving freely in the lives
of the believers.
3) Many
Charismatics also testify to an abounding
joy, 4) a
deeper assurance of salvation, 5)
a
new boldness for witness to Jesus Christ,
and 6) an
enriched fellowship with other Christians.
7) one of the most noticeable
features of the charismatic renewal is the
sense of koinonia that binds them together
not only in a local fellowship but also
across ancient denominational barriers.
Accordingly, many claim that the charismatic
movement is the true fulfillment of the
Lord's prayer to the Father "that they
may all be one" John
17:21
Rick
has an immense love and compassion for
people. He says, "God loved me 'before
I had it all together;" I follow
God, in as much as I know, I am to
love people when,
they, too, don't 'have it all together in
their lives.' As you visit this website,
just know [Yahweh/Jehovah] God -- the God of
the Bible -- loves you and there is a lot of
love for you here on this web site, too!

you forgive, you love. And when you love,
God's light shines on you."

Rick
sticks close to the Word of God from the
Bible and what the Lord makes him to know.
He says, "all spiritual comment to
witness, preach and teach must align with
God's Word.'" Rick's background
includes Lutheran, then Baptist. He is now,
nondenominational, which he believes appeals
to the majority of individuals,
groups, denominations and other religious
entities who are interested in inviting him
to minister at their location.
The Lord started Rick's ministry, years ago,
among youth groups in Minneapolis MN, USA.
He is still popular among youth who say that
Rick "Rocks."
He
has been a pastor, held evangelistic
meetings for more than a decade throughout
the Bible belt -- the southern states,
USA -- was a missionary evangelist and
missionary aviation pilot in the mountains
of Mexico, and was a professor and
administrator in a nondenominational Bible
college and seminary. Rick has taken a
hiatus from his radio ministry, but intends
to return to "airing" his 10
minute "Cross Roads of Life"
program, which has been popular in the
Midwest, USA.
Rick
will teach you how you can be 100% sure that
you will be on your way to heaven if you
die. It's in the Bible. The Apostle John
said, "I write these things to you who
believe in the name of the Son of God so
that you may know that you have eternal life."
It has nothing to do with the tradition of
infant baptism; Rick will show you so you
can be 100% SURE -- that is, if you would
like to be sure.
Rick's
ministry is revivalist. When he has freedom
to preach in the fullness of the Holy Spirit
-- early church style -- he is like
preachers in the Bible book of Acts.
Rick
is known for his dynamic, yet friendly,
loving, vibrant and life-changing messages.
People are
often healed right where they sit or stand
during Rick's preaching or teaching. Another
feature of Rick's ministry is that he has a
grasp of many of the deeper applications of
God's Word, the Bible. Rick is adept
at unfolding the beginning, intermediate and
finally, deeper life aspects of the power
available to believers as found in God's
Word. Note:
see infilling or Baptism in the Holy Spirit
below -- with Dr. David Wilkerson's
testimony about this experience.
Rick
says, "the
understanding and supernatural empowerment
of spiritually born again believers requires
a believer to desire to achieve and walk in
the dedication and sanctification [holy and
upright life]. In this type of life of
closeness to the Lord, it is absolutely
necessary to be truthful in all that you
say and walking righteously [upright] is of
utmost importance. Finally, you must be
obedient to God's Word and commands and
strive to do what pleases Him. You
will then be trusted and rewarded by the
Holy Spirit with the Lord's "hand of
power" with signs, miracles and wonders
to confirm a believer's witness,
preaching, or teaching and other
ministry."
Note
-- In the Word of God prophets are spoken of
in both the Old and New Testaments. The Book
of Acts 11:27, 28 says, " During
this time some prophets came down from
Jerusalem to Antioch. One of them, named
Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit
predicted that a severe famine would spread
over the entire Roman world." (This
happened during the reign of Claudius.) Of
course, this means there are prophets
assigned to churches today.
Read
the following. "If you abide by
this teaching I am providing regarding
knowledge and wisdom, it may convince people
you are worth listening to when you talk
about facts, or experiences you seem
acquainted with in your life or career
field" ~ Rick
Lawrence
Knowledge
and Wisdom --
Rick often opens seminars with the
definition of knowledge and wisdom. He
says, "Although I do not have a
membership in Mensa, the excellent
organization that recognizes the top 2% of
the nation's most intelligent people, I
seemingly have sufficient knowledge/wisdom
with deductive and inductive thinking -- so
to speak -- to understand that 'gifted'
brain power is not always the pathway to
proper conclusions. I watched a 'gifted'
person fail miserably on a TV quiz show not
because that person was deficient, but
although 'gifted' brain power involves
superior thinking ability, it is not a
guarantee that a person has a reservoir of
facts and experiences regarding a particular
field of knowledge.' That is my
opinion.'"
"Knowledge
is gained -- whether formally or informally
-- through gathering of facts and through
credible experiences. Wisdom is the
ability to draw logical conclusions and
inferences from knowledge, and/or
experiences: yours or other people's. You
may have a high IQ and are quite intelligent
and skilled, but don't mistake intelligence
for wisdom to enable accomplishment;
knowledge and wisdom accumulated from
what you learn and apply actively in your
life and work will be the chief factor which
will help guarantee your success. "
"In
summation -- many people who are
educated both formally or informally, often
draw conclusions without carefully procuring
or examining the facts. Without solid
facts, the ability to draw 'sound'
conclusions is limited. And above all
-- as my 'gifted' brother once cautioned me
when I was a teenager, "Unless you are
absolutely certain of your facts, don't
state them as true, state them as your
"opinion.'"
"I
want to make something clear to you
Christian believers: Most believers try
to persuade others to open their heart to
God's Word and message to them. At this
point -- I insert a bit of teaching here ---
I have found that the secret of Revival or
any other invitation to people: unbelievers
and believers is two-fold: 1)
Spiritually born again believers must walk
close to the Lord Jesus 2) when you present
the Word of God about the Gospel, or any
other promises of God, Understand, it is not
you who will open their hearts to this word,
but it is the Holy Spirit.
Understand John 12:32
"But I, when I am lifted up from the
earth, will draw all men to myself."
Jesus was speaking about his crucifixion,
but it also applies to witnessing, preaching
and teaching -- avoid lifting other people
up, Lift
up Christ and you will be astonished at how
the Holy Spirit opens the hearts of those
listening to you."
The
Book of Acts 16:14 tells of the
Apostle Paul teaching about Jesus Christ
and...."One of those listening was a
woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth
from the city of Thyatira, who was a
worshiper of God. The Lord opened her
heart to respond to Paul's message."
Summation -- if you stick close to the Lord,
experience the infilling of the Spirit and
walk uprightly; The Holy Spirit will then
open hearts in a remarkable way; it is not
up to you, He will open hearts.
Regarding
the Infilling or Baptism of, with (or in)
the Holy Spirit
,
which
the Bible states is an empowerment of
believers subsequent to the 'New
Birth." John 3:1-5 This
empowerment has accompanied every true
revival in history; this experience draws
most believers much closer to the Lord Jesus
Christ. and our heavenly Father, Yahweh
(Jehovah); this often is referred to as the
Charismatic renewal of traditional
Christian church people of our modern times.
Revival is also happening among Classical
Pentecostal churches. When you receive the
infilling or baptism in the Holy Spirit, He
will quite likely empower you in a greater
measure with supernatural guidance,
protection and greater understanding of the
depth of the Word of God.
Note:
Rick
Lawrence has been greatly influenced by
his scholarly research not only of the
Bible, but also many writings by leaders and
people in the available records and writings
of the early Christian Church during the
first two centuries after Christ's
resurrection. Rick has studied, in-depth,
many revivals including the Northern
European Revival -- an extension of the
Welsh revival, and other spiritual
awakenings up to the year of 2011.
We
are challenged by what Dr.
David Wilkerson
teaches about steps/chairs of spiritual
growth, but
he has something else that explains his huge
success living a holy life and having
abundant power in his life and ministry. I
have in hand a quote from Dave Wilkerson as
given to Don Basham some years back “regarding
the empowerment that gave him the ability to
win those gangs to Christ, as well as
healing and deliverance for people.
Do you want to see revival in your own
life and in the lives of peoples all around
your community and area? Ask Jesus of
Nazareth for the infilling or baptism in the
Holy Spirit! ~Rick
Lawrence
Abridged
interview by Don Basham: "Dave
Wilkerson, founder of Teen Challenge,
and author of "The Cross and the
Switchblade" once shared with me an
interesting experience. A young minister
came to visit Teen Challenge because he had
been impressed with what he had heard
about the Baptism In the Holy Spirit and
it's dramatic effects on the lives of former
addicts. David said,
"several of us spent about an hour in
my office with him explaining the experience
and how it gave power, how it introduced the
Christian to the supernatural experience of
speaking in tongues [unknown, supernatural,
personal prayer language] and how
dramatic
deliverance from illness and addictions
often took place by the power of the Spirit."
~ Don Basham”
What
about empowerment in your personal life?
One of the sadist problems in many
end time churches is what Jesus predicted
about the Laodicean church. This modern
church is described as one having a
form of godliness, but denying the power,
thereof. Oh! that’s not us! Cry the
conservatives and evangelicals…that has to
be the traditional churches.
Many spiritually born again believers
attend our church and we have terrific
programs and music and worship. We pray for
the sick with occasional success and we have
good mission programs too. We
don't se many people experiencing the New
birth of John chapter 3, although our church
isn't growing very much, we are trying to
keep our members -- it's a tough world we
live in.
That
may be worthy, but what about personal
empowerment to stand against Satanic powers
of the dark side. Jesus said the end
time world would be more an more affected by
the Satanic dark side. It is all the more
reason to have the supernatural power of the
Holy Spirit empowerment. The
Bible gives an answer to whether or not the
dark side is actively trying to derail
spiritually born again believers. Ephesians
6:12-13 gives an answer, " For our
struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world and
against the spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full
armor of God, so that when the day of evil
comes, you may be able to stand your
ground..."
Satanic
forces will whittle away at you and then, if
they can, will blind-side you when, you're
weak-willed enough to walk into their trap.
And keep your eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ.
and certainly, seek the baptism in the Holy
Spirit. Also, When you backslide from
walking with the Lord, you often will be the
last to know it. Many
changes have happened in the world and we
are not living in more innocent times. I
liken it to an outdated computer I,
personally, have a need to upgrade my
personal computer. It is 7 years old and I'm
often trying to use 2011 software on it with
some problems here and there. Researchers
tell us knowledge is doubling , now, every
three years. It is Jesus Christ's word
that the world will become more wicked as we
draw closer to the end of this age.
The challenge of presenting Christ to
present generations is growing. We need the
supernatural wisdom and power of the Holy
Spirit empowerment -- the baptism in the
Holy Spirit! '

Most
believers say they would like to receive
some personal supernatural sign, miracle or
wonder which would show them the reality of
God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit alive in
today's world.
OK, my friends, The Baptism in the Holy
Spirit/infilling is God's answer to you. Speaking
in a personal, supernatural prayer language,
which believers who receive the infilling,
or baptism in the Holy Spirit experience.
receive -- is the initial evidence of the
receiving the baptism in the Spirit; it is
for a believer's prayer closet and personal
edification (growth in Christ). This
heavenly, prayer language is unknown to the
believer. In
the old King James Bible, it was called
speaking in a tongue. It is different
than the gift of tongues [unknown languages]
and interpretation of tongues spoken of in
Scripture as gifts of the Holy Spirit for
the church. Read on for the answer Q.
What is false cessation doctrine introduced
by one man in 1918?
In
the Charismatic renewal speaking in tongues,
glossolalia, occupies a significant place.
Speaking in tongues (an unknown prayer
language) is generally understood to be
communication with God in language that is
other than one known to the speaker. A
person does the speaking, that is, he freely
uses his vocal apparatus, but it is claimed
that the Holy Spirit gives the utterance. It
is viewed as transcendent speech by the
enabling of the Holy Spirit.
The
Bible also frequently points to the
pattern of Jesus' own life, which includes
both his conception by the Holy Spirit and
the later descent of the Holy Spirit upon
him. Jesus was therefore both born
of the Spirit as Savior and anointed
with the Spirit as he began his ministry.
So it is said that correspondingly there is
needed both a birth of the Spirit for
salvation and an anointing of the Spirit for
ministry in his name.
His command to his followers is 1
John 2:6. "Whoever claims to live
in him must walk as Jesus did."
Note: Many evangelical, and
fundamentalist Christians are taught to be
Cessationist. The doctrine of cessation
implies that the baptism with, or in the
Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit,
speaking in an unknown, personal, heavenly
prayer language (for a spiritually born
again believer's prayer closet) , various
miracles and healing ceased with the early
church, when they were replaced with the
Bible, the Word of God. This doctrine
supporting the cessation view has only been
around since the 1900s and was introduced by
one man (think of it -- millions of
ministries and other believers have put
their trust in false doctrine-- what one man
decided rather than trust God's Word, the
Bible).-- Benjamin Warfield’s "Cessationist"
theory (1918), popularized by notes in the
Schofield Bible. ~

1) lifting

Christ is the Word (Logos) of God. The Word
was with God in the beginning, which states
His pre-existence as one with God. "By
Him all things were created, both in the

therefore making Jesus the Creator.
Jesus
Christ is the Purpose of God found in all of
creation. He is the Father's delight and
desire, and the Father is looking for the
reflection of His Son in all created things.
Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning
and the End. In the beginning, it was the
ultimate purpose of God for all things to be
summed up in Christ.

Where
do you stand? Are you
like many end
time believers to whom Jesus speaks in Revelation
3:15 "I
know your deeds, that you are neither cold
nor hot. I wish you were either one or the
other!"" 2 Tim. 3:5 "having
a form of godliness but denying its power." Is
this you? Then, the infilling or
Baptism in the Holy Spirit is for you! Jesus
Christ is the baptizer, but understand, you
cannot receive the Baptism in the Holy
Spirit unless you are first spiritually born
again. If you have difficulty receiving the
Infilling of the Spirit, Be 100% sure you
are spiritually born again! Then, ask the
Lord to Baptize you in the Holy Spirit with
the evidence being He gives you a new
supernatural prayer language to speak in.
This prayer language is for your personal
prayer and praise time -- for your prayer
closet. Note - it happens,
sometimes, that persons seeking the
infilling/baptism in the Holy Spirit unaware
that they are not spiritually born again,
but the Holy Spirit seems to take care of
that by Baptizing them into the body of
Christ and then in quick succession,
infilling, or baptizing them in the Holy
Spirit with the evidence of a new
supernatural, personal prayer language

your search to draw closer to the Lord. Show
me a church that claims to have its start in
the Northern European Revival and they
should be welcoming the baptism in the Holy

that goes with it. The infilling/baptism in
the Holy Spirit was clearly experienced by
Evan Roberts and was a feature of the
100,000 spiritually born again, new converts
in the Welsh Revival a.k.a. Northern
European Revival. Three(3)
churches that claim to have been influenced
in the Northern European revival are:
Baptist, Evangelical Covenant

others who were influenced. If
the filling or baptism in the Holy Spirit
are shunned, some of their ancestors
probably "bought into" the false
doctrine of "cessation" and
promulgated that error which puts them into
the category of denying much of the power of
God."

About
Rick and Revival
Revival is far beyond just holding a week or
two of 'revival' meetings in a church;
that's good, however, read about the Welsh
revival which is far beyond the above type
of meetings -- Christian
revival
is a term that generally refers to a
specific period of increased spiritual
interest or renewal in the life of a church
congregation or many churches, either
regionally or globally. This should be
distinguished from the use of the term
"revival" to refer to an
evangelistic meeting or series of meetings.
While
elements such as mass conversions of
non-believers and perceived beneficial
effects on the moral climate of a given
culture may be involved, revivals are seen
by many Christians as being the restoration
of the church itself to a vital and fervent
relationship with Jesus Christ after a
period of decline. The word
"church" here refers to the body
of believers in Christ as a whole and not to
any particular group or denomination. ~Wikipedia.com

Years
ago, during the
first sermon Rick ever preached, based on
Proverbs 3:5,6, people began to rise
from their places and walk to the front of
the church below the pulpit before Rick
finished his message. Adults, teens,
children came to stand together as their
hearts were spiritually touched and opened
to the Lord Jesus by the Holy Spirit;
many were crying. Rick says, " I wasn't
certain what was happening!" The Lord
did remarkable things in that service and
made me to know it
was Him touching hearts
and bodies. I prayed, individually, for the
people as the Holy Spirit made me to know
what to pray and to do. it was then that I
realized God was honoring His Word, found in
the Bible and would continue to do so if I
would lift up Jesus Christ who is a
miracle-working Lord!" Not all
services end this way, but many do.
Rick's
ministry became stronger and stronger and
God is still ready and willing to do the
same things -- only more so -- as
Rick ministers. He says, "the
Holy Spirit seems to operate the gift of
healing through me. Understand, I have no
personal power to heal or set someone free
from addiction, or other bondages;
the
Lord Jesus
by the power of the Holy Spirit is the one
who heals and sets people free
when I tell
them about His love and desire to help
them!" So,
if you attend a service or meeting where
Rick is ministering, expect a miracle and
you will possibly receive one from the Lord.
People are often healed nowadays as Rick
speaks a healing word from the platform or
pulpit where he is preaching or teaching.
It's quite thrilling to be in a service and
witness it.
As
of July 2010, Rick restarted his
preaching, teaching meetings;
he had taken a hiatus for a number of months
to rest and to do further research. An
added
blessing to his ministry is a young man who
is a dedicated, excellent guitarist/singer
who may be able to be with Rick in a meeting
or church service. Another feature of
Meetings/Services where Rick ministers is
that he often prays over a large number of
small prayer cloths. Why? he prays a healing
prayer and asks God to use the cloths to
convey faith for healing as it is taken by a
friend or relative to someone who needs
healing or deliverance. Rick can't be
everywhere and the Lord uses this to reach
out to people who need deliverance or
healing, but live at a distance from the
meeting where Rick is ministering. A
reference to this type of prayer for healing
is found in Acts 19:11,12.
Note:
Rick's counsel regarding Divine healing --
"Don't
be mistaken about healing. Jesus does heal
people through divine healing, however, He
also has placed the medical and
psychological fields on planet earth to aid
all humankind. I personally seek Divine
healing first, when I am experiencing a need
for healing. I do recommend, however, if you
pray for God's divine healing through Jesus
and if you, or the one you are praying for,
do not experience a reversal of your
symptoms, soon, see a doctor. You must use
common sense and if the symptoms or
situation continue to develop or look
life-threatening, pray, but render aid on
the spot or call 911 -- especially if you
are dealing with an infant, or toddler,
accident victim, heart attack or stroke
victim -- don't wait. Two things you must
understand:1) God does not manifest a
healing in everyone who prays. 2)
Unless you are a trained medical or
psychological professional, you may fail to
recognize life-threatening symptoms."
3) "obey the law. I
remember a person who had strong glasses.
That person prayed for healing and then
discarded her glasses and drove the family
car although unable to see adequately, she
was nearly blind; she could have killed
someone. Further, her eyesight was below the
requirement for driving a vehicle in the
state in which she lived. My advice:
1) obey the law, also, do not stop your
prescriptions or medications. 2) if you
believe you are healed, There is nothing
wrong with seeing a doctor and getting
verification that you have been healed. see
a doctor and get the OK before you stop your
medications."

This
link leads to emphasis on such matters as
prayer, commitment, and expectancy as the
context for the gift of the Holy Spirit. So
it was with Jesus' life leading up to the
descent of the Spirit; also with the 120
disciples who waited in the upper room prior
to Pentecost; likewise a number of others
according to several additional accounts in
the book of Acts. Prayer preceding the
reception of the Holy Spirit particularly
stands out in the accounts of the
Samaritans, Saul of Tarsus, and the
centurion household in
Caesarea
. Seeing a
similar pattern in the life of Jesus, the
original disciples, and the early church,
many Charismatics affirm that in a spirit of
prayer, commitment, and expectancy they were
visited by the Holy Spirit. Such an event,
it is claimed, did not occur by dint of
human effort, not through some work beyond
faith; rather it happened to those who in
faith were open to receive what God had
promised to give.
Many
people wonder what God's Will is for their
life.
I encourage you to read
1 Thessalonians 5:18 The Bible, of
course is God's Word; study his Word and you
will learn much of His Will for your life.
Another way to know God's Will is that He
often will use another person, even a child,
to suggest a course of action to you. I
advise you to listen carefully; it may be
God making you to know what he wants you to
do to carry out His Will in your life. God
will use unusual circumstances in our lives
to get our attention.
I teach this more thoroughly in
meetings, and pulpit ministry."
"I
want to insert teaching in this paragraph; I
have once again been in dialog with someone
who refers to another person as one who 'Got
religion.' I hear this many times with
people who are unfamiliar and sometimes do
not accept Bible Christianity. These people
do not understand that one of the great
differences between Christianity and
"religions" of the world is that
true Christianity is not a religion; it is
a relationship with God and Christ Jesus.
God the Father, and His Son Jesus not only
are creators of the universe and all life,
but they are sustainers of their creation.
You
are the product of your choices. Choose to
accept Jesus into your heart and life [John
1:12; Rev 3:20] and you will find, as you
grow in Christ, that many of life's
problems, negative health issues and dead
ends will dissolve and He will help you
attain success and a more abundant life as
you grow in Him. The Bible indicates
each person in the world is born with his or
her name written in the Book Of Life.
At the last great judgment Rev 20:11) if
your name is not found written in the book
of Life, you will be cast into the Lake of
fire, .as mentioned in the Bible. (Rev
20:15). below -- how your name may blotted
out of the Book of Life: A
spiritually born again individual's name
will never be blotted out of this Book. See
Romans 8:1
The
sobering word is that when God gives a
person chance after chance to accept Jesus
as his or her Savior and Lord, God will at
some point remove that human person's name
from the book of Life. After that, only
God's punishment and judgment remains for
the individual; it will be everlasting
separation from God and Jesus. To find out
how to be 100 % sure you are spiritually
born again (John 3:3-5) and on your way to
heaven when you die -- keep reading or

to be 100 % sure'"

There
is a "battle cry" I have
borrowed from the Reformation
Period. It is Sola scriptura from
the Latin language and basically means that Scripture
alone is authoritative for faith and
practice of the Christian. The Bible is
true, complete and authoritative. “All
Scripture is God- breathed and is useful for
teaching, rebuking, correcting and training
in righteousness” 2 Tim. 3:16
'
Sola
Scriptura' was the true Christian response
to the deceptive spirits and doctrine making
their way into the Church in the reformation
period. Martin Luther and thousands of other
true believers stood against weird, strange
and deceptive teaching that was either not
in the Scriptures [writings] of the Bible or
which were "twisted" by so called
prophets or teachers of that day. Sola
Scriptura "only the Scripture!"
To
us, It
means -- in this end time of deceptive
spirits from the dark side -- we
must "stick with the Word of God in
faith and practice" There are
an increasing number of persons in the
church and in para-church organizations who
are often ,unwittingly, teaching doctrines
and ideas that are not found in the Word of
God, or are misinterpreted, taken out of
context, etcetera. My advice to
spirit-filled Christians is to test the
Spirits."
Important:
1) If you desire to find the key to heaven
and eternal life see rKL2.org home page, and
abtrick; 2) In answer to the question,
:What about people, globally, who have never
heard the Good news about accepting Christ
as personal Savior, e.g., how to get to
heaven when they die -- don't listen to
Christians or others who say there is no
provision for them! God
has made wonderful provision: 1) Deuteronomy
4:29 proclaims, “But if from there you
seek the LORD your God, you will find him if
you look for him with all your heart and
with all your soul.” This verse teaches an
important principle—everyone who truly
seeks after God will find Him. If a person
truly desires to know God, God will make
Himself known.
2) Acts
10:1-36 Cornelius was a soldier who
believed in God (this is the Greek word
"Theos," which simply means
"a deity," (It doesn't necessarily
refer to our Christian God, Jehovah), but
didn't have the full knowledge of God and
the way
to heaven through Jesus Christ. Cornelius
sought God and God sent an angel Cornelius
telling him how to contact Peter and
Peter could teach Cornelius the Good news
about how to get to heaven through Jesus,
who died on the Cross for all humans, who
could then receive Him and His sacrifice for
them on the Cross.
I've
answered this question and if you
personally, are not 100% sure you are on
your way to heaven if you die -- read my
teaching from the Bible and make the
decision to accept Jesus as your personal
Savior. Summation -- The Bible teaches
that anyone who has never heard about Jesus
Christ, His crucifixion, His death on the
Cross, His resurrection -- all for the
forgiveness of the sins of all mankind and
the true way to eternal life will find God
and the ability to be saved if they accept
Jesus Christ as savior. Will the whole world
be saved? No, but anyone who seeks God will
find Him and have the opportunity to accept
Christ and be saved eternally. Christians
should still take the Good News about Christ
to everyone possible in the World; God has
commanded it.

heart and mind, when he witnesses, preaches
and teaches the Word of God, the Bible. If
you want to see God's power at work (inside
a church or other meeting place) people
repenting, deeply touched by the presence of
the Lord -- many weeping as they fill the
front and the aisles of the meeting place
you will often find this happening in Rick's
meetings. Many people are desirous to
make their decision, their commitment, to
give their life to Jesus Christ. Others are
spiritually born again believers who for one
reason or another have wandered off the path
and want to return to greater fellowship
with the Lord Jesus. Still others are in
need of healing or deliverance from bondages
such as addictions and destructive habits.
If you want to sincerely experience the
closeness of Jehovah God, and connect with
Him attend one of Rick's ministry meetings.
He
has gained extensive knowledge and
experience over a forty year period as a
spiritual counselor, minister, teacher and
public speaker. Although
early church type healings and miracles
often occur in his meetings, he does not
perform all the platform ministry that is
prevalent with numerous TV Evangelists. 130
broadcasts of Rick's popular, weekly, 10
minute radio program "Crossroads of
Life" have been aired He has
received much Internet traffic to his
website RKL2.org as a result of this
program. He is
currently taking a break, but may start once
again.
Rick
also served for two years in
Mexico where he was
a Missionary
Evangelist
and
Missionary
Aviation 'mountain pilot.'
He
piloted a Cessna 180 aircraft in the
mountains. The single engine, high wing
plane was donated by a dedicated Christian
and flying farmer -- for use in Rick's
missionary work. The plane was instrumental
in ministry efforts in the mountains and
nearby areas. Also, thousands of
people were reached by air-dropping small
packets each containing a booklet of the
Bible, the book of John, plus a tract
outlining the way to eternal life through
Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This was in
preparation for follow-ups by area
missionaries.
Rick,
Connie and children -- the Lawrence family
-- lived among the people; the
children attended a Mexican school. Many
Mexican people offered their friendship to
Rick and Connie. The Lawrence family was
recognized by them as simpatico.
This is a word known to
Spanish-speaking people; It
refers to respected social qualities, for
instance, to be friendly, good-natured and
cooperative.
Rick
is a combat veteran who
served in the U.S. Air Force in South Korea
during the 1950-53 Korean war After
military service, at age 25, he and his
wife, Connie, his high school sweetheart,
became spiritually born again Christians by
making a life-changing commitment to Jesus
Christ receiving Him into their hearts and
lives in a very personal way. Connie Lawrence,
RN., D. D. served in the medical and
religious education fields.

"My
friends, I live by these two verses. I hope
you do also. $$$ I give and give and God
keeps giving back to me. It's quite
remarkable. I don't give the rent money, but
I give freely from what I have left to live
on in my budget after tithe and monthly
bills are paid. Proverbs 3:27, 28 God says:
"Do not withhold good from those who
deserve it, when it is in your power to act.
Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back
later; I'll give it tomorrow"-- when
you now have it with you." I appreciate
your prayers re the Ford Focus car I'm
believing God for. Thanks In Jesus,
Rick"
Rick
has been on a two year hiatus, but is now
available as guest speaker for special
events. His
speeches or seminars for special events
always conclude with an invitation for those
in the audience who wish to make a decision
to accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior
and Lord.
The speeches are appropriate to the event,
celebration or holiday involved. Rick
charges a fee for public speaking events
whether secular or religious.

RKL2.org
-- Rick Lawrence Ministries --
is Rick's website dedicated to teaching
about Jesus Christ and bringing Jesus'
presence, deliverance and healing -- through
the Holy Spirit to all people who are
interested in the Bible and God. This
ministry is based on the cross of Christ; on
the death, and the resurrection of
Jesus. Jesus, Son of God, was
always willing to help anyone who came
to Him. He is still the same; he does the
same things today that he has always done.
He loves you and wants to help you.
Hebrews
13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday and today and forever."
Occasionally,
Computer users have asked Rick
why he doesn't have a more contemporary
format on his website. Rick replies, The
thousands of secular people who access
RKL2.org website, normally will not click on
religious search boxes or arrays. But they
will read the index page content if it's
intriguing and informational. Rick also has
a number of topics on the home page which
are keyed from his radio, national and
international Internet corporations
listings. RKL2.org is user-friendly. Rick
says if you should happen to forget his
website address, just access google.com and
type Rick Lawrence or Rick Lawrence
Ministries in their search box.
RKL2.org and Rick Lawrence ministries is
usually listed first, second or third from
the top of the page. If you see the
words, "crossroads of Life" click
on it. One sign of
successful outreach of a website is how much
time people remain on the site reading it's
content. A reporting firm Rick hired said
people spend an unusual amount of time
reading content on the RKL2.org website from
numerous pages. BTW, the word 'web site'
spelling has been mostly replaced by the
word website
Some
people receive healings and deliverance:
spirit, mind and body
while
Rick preaches and/or teaches anointed
messages in person, during his Crossroads of
Life radio messages, and when he plays piano
music dedicating it to the Lord.
He
primarily teaches about Jesus Christ's death
on the cross and resurrection from the dead.
Rick often preaches and teaches about Jesus'
healing and deliverances of people by the
power of the Holy Spirit in Bible days and
in today's world. You don't need to
attend a meeting to receive His healing, the
Lord's healing is available to you in your
home, or any place, or any time when you
believe His Word, the Bible, and have faith
in His promises and ask Him for help.
Note:
Rick's counsel regarding Divine healing --
Don't
be mistaken about healing. God does heal
people through divine healing, however, He
also has placed the medical and
psychological fields on planet earth to aid
all humankind. I personally seek Divine
healing first, when I am experiencing a need
for healing. I do recommend, however, if you
pray for God's divine healing through Jesus
and if you, or the one you are praying for,
do not experience a reversal of your
symptoms, soon, see a Doctor. You must use
common sense and if the symptoms or
situation continue to develop or look
life-threatening, pray, but render aid on
the spot or call 911 -- especially if you
are dealing with an infant, or toddler,
accident victim, heart attack or stroke
victim -- don't wait. Two things you
must understand: 1) God does not heal
everyone Just because you pray 2)
Unless you are a trained medical or
psychological professional, you may fail to
recognize life-threatening symptoms.
3) obey the law. I
remember a person who had strong glasses.
That person prayed for healing and then
discarded her glasses and drove the family
car although unable to see adequately, she
was nearly blind; she could have killed
someone, Further her eyesight was below the
requirement for driving a vehicle in the
state in which she lived. My advice:
1) obey the law, also, do not stop you
prescriptions or medications. 2) if you
believe you are healed, There is nothing
wrong with seeing a Dr and getting
verification that you have been healed. see
a doctor and get the OK before drop your
medications,
Some
ministries will likely be critical regarding
my advice, But the Lord Jesus, by the Holy
Spirit, still heals a lot of people under my
ministry counsel. That's why I'm taking this
amount of space to give you this advice.
You may have more success if you accept the
Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior to
begin with (read further on this page
regarding how to do that). You will
grow in faith as you gather together with
other spiritually born again Christians to
worship {Jehovah] God and Jesus with others
of like mind. Note: Jehovah is the English
translation of the name of the true God
whose Hebrew name is Yahweh. The
Spanish translation is Dios. The point is
regardless of the Bible translation you are
using in your language, if the your language
translates the word "God" from the
Hebrew word Yahweh, you are worshiping the
true God of the Bible. Be
careful not to get sucked into a cult or
false movement just because they use the
name Yahweh in their title or worship.
----------------------------------------------------
more about Rick's other counsel:
When Rick preaches sermons in worship
services, and/or teaches on biblical topics
in teaching meetings, the Holy Spirit may
move among the people present and perform
healings and deliverance freely, apart
from Rick or any other ministry present. Jesus
still heals people today. Jesus still sets
people free from addictions and other
mental, physical and spiritual bondages. He
does this through the Holy Spirit just as he
did when he was on earth." The
Bible says, "Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday and today and forever."
(Hebrews 13:8) The logical inference
is that he is still doing today what he did
during his ministry on earth which he passed
on to the early church and to believers
today. Jesus loves you. He wants to
help all who come to Him. If you, your loved
ones or friends want to connect with God,
draw near to Jesus.
Note:
Rick is available to
schedule evangelism, deliverance and healing
ministry meetings with churches and groups.
Through his ministry meetings, his
Crossroads of Life radio and RKL2.org web
site ministries, hundreds of people are
surfing RKL2.org each week; the numbers keep
growing. Many of these people are in the
secular world and are interested in what the
Bible says about Jesus Christ and are
wanting to connect with him. Other
people want help for their problems and are
needing to hear more about help through
Jesus, the Son of God.
Rick
may minister to people through the biblical
laying
on of hands in 'after meetings' which are
held after the main teaching meeting; it is
a concentrated, additional time in which
people who wish prayer for healing and
deliverance from infirmities: spiritual,
mental or physical problems, and/or negative
addictive habits may come before the Lord,
who is present by His Holy Spirit. Rick
expects people to do their visiting before
or after the main meeting outside of the
sanctuary or main meeting place. Reverence
for the Lord is usually a must for a strong
presence of the Holy Spirit in the meeting.
Likewise reverence for the Lord determines,
most often, the outcome when, Rick ministers
at the altar for people to experience
the Holy Spirit's healing and deliverance on
behalf of Jesus. As Rick ministers by the
'power gifts' of the Spirit, all is done in reverence
and Godly order with 'freedom'
through the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Rick
says, "I
want to tell you that I believe human
traditions and programs, although often
helpful, have slowly been eradicating the
Holy Spirit's power and rightful place in
the church. I believe we must give the Holy
Spirit His rightful place in our preaching,
teaching, educational and social efforts in
our churches. We need to go back and study
what the Apostle Paul meant when he said,
'Be filled with the Spirit'."
Notice in Acts 16:14 "And a
certain woman named Lydia, a seller of
purple, of the city of Thyatira, which
worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the
Lord opened, that she attended unto the
things which were spoken of Paul."
I humbly suggest the Holy Spirit is ready
and waiting to open people's hearts and to
do many early-church-type signs and wonders
amongst us."
Rick
also wishes for people to remember what the
Lord Jesus said in John 8:31-32, "To
the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said,
"If you hold to my teaching, you are
really my disciples. Then
you will know the truth, and the
truth will set you free."
The Word of God is the truth that sets
people free. There is great power
built into the Bible verses, the Word of
God. The power that brings God's Word
in the Bible to life is the Holy Spirit!
Romans 10:17 says, "And 'faith cometh
by hearing and hearing by the word of
God." You will also gain faith as
you read the Bible.
The Word of God is of primary importance in
all matters and ministry; the anointing
power for deliverance and healing are
adjunct gifts [tools] the Holy Spirit uses
in conjunction with the Word of God.
So, Rick says, "don't look at power to
cast out demons or to 'speak' the Word of
God in authority to achieve deliverance, or
molecular realignment for physical healings
as something to fixate upon. Set your
attention and heart upon the message of the
Word of God, and its truth will set you
free.
If
Jesus says it in the Word, his words are to
be received, believed and acted upon
unequivocally, that is -- except for the
'Father' Jehovah God's words in the Bible,
Jesus' words are above all else in the
Bible and in today's Christian practice and
experience. Jesus words are above any or all
words spoken today by any disciples
including five- fold ministries or any other
source. Further, if you expect to follow
Jesus, closely, and receive supernatural
answers to your prayers, Tell the truth!
Don't spin the Bible, the Word of God, or exaggerate
your
own abilities or success to suit your goals,
God hates lies. Untruths are lies. Again,
speak the truth in all that you do!"
The
Lord’s Ministry through Rick has spanned
levels of teaching from youth to the
elderly. Over the years, he has been
used by the Lord to teach, motivate and
assist many youth and adults to move toward
ministries or service the Lord is opening to
them. Rick
smiles as he tells of the many times the
Holy Spirit has introduced [sent] him to an
individual or individuals -- almost always
they have been praying and asking God for
power in their witness or ministry, or to
open doors for them. Rick says, the Lord is
usually their desire in life, however, he is
often more of a figurehead and distant in
their experience than they realize. The
keys to supernatural, early-church type of
faith, power and service is the Infilling of
the Holy Spirit. This early church
power will lead the believer into new
dimensions of service
in the supernatural realm of miracles,
healings and deliverance of hurting people,
and deliverance help for those with
addictions and bondages, and so forth.
Rick
has continuously given of himself,
altruistically, to help other people; he
has, of course, his own financial needs.
Theological
degrees bring recognition, but not always
financial rewards. Rick believes a
God-called preacher, or teacher shouldn't be
in it for the money, rather in the ministry
to help win souls for Jesus Christ. Rick's
preaching and teaching ministry is supported
by free will offerings of those he ministers
to. Rick says, "The free will offering
is something between me and the Lord. It is
a matter of my personal faith. As for
myself, If people don't listen to God's
appeal to their hearts to help me, I'm
'sunk' [finished]; it keeps me humble and I
pray a lot for my needs."
He says, " The Lord touches people's
hearts to give to me and to my ministry;
it's very precious to me. I
do not have the notoriety and wealth
of some ministries, but I have the anointing
and power of God with a deep desire to help
people in all life-circumstances. This
includes hurting and suffering people, too.
God has placed His power with signs,
miracles and wonders following and
confirming His messages from the Bible, that
I preach and teach about Jesus.
Rick
puts a
lot of himself
into helping others, and he
often prays
and 'hopes'
that people who access RKL2.org
will understand that he
also has
personal needs, and that people can make a
difference by praying for him,
and/or
sending encouragement, or personal gifts of
finances to help. It
would mean a lot to him.
For
tax deductible credit for your gifts, you
can give to Rick and/or Rick Lawrence
Ministries through a church -- see the
church office.
Just designate your gift is for Rick
Lawrence Ministries. Rick
will appreciate your gifts of finances; it
will mean a lot to him.
Rick
has chosen to base his ministry on free will
offerings. Rick depends on God to open
people's hearts to give money and equipment
to help Rick reach out to help spread the
Word of God about Jesus Christ to people in
the USA and in many other nations.
Rick has personal needs, but says he reminds
himself daily of the many poor families with
hungry and sometimes starving mothers,
fathers and children. Reports come to him of
mothers in undeveloped countries who have
nothing to feed themselves and their
children, but ground-up tree and bush leaves
soaked in murky water; they are starving.
Rick helps provide support with daily food
through a credible organization; he does
this month after month -- hoping he can do
more in the future. Rick says,
"There is something missing in the life
of a spiritually born again person who
readily preaches, teaches or witnesses to
the salvation message and the love of of
Jesus, but won't lift a finger to help
hurting people. Faith without works is
dead. In other words, "Faith
without compassion is loveless, and just
wishing for a situation to be better is not
enough. In essence, in the Book of James in
the Bible, James says, "There are a lot
of hurting people on planet earth, and It is
our responsibility to get busy and help
out."
In other words,
just fix your heart on the pain and
suffering of hurting people. Have compassion
['feel' for them] and help them as much as
possible, when you can.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is
a growing stress occurring in people of the
USA
and
many other nations. This is happening
because of the burgeoning, dangerous
nuclear, bio-terrorism and other militant
religious threats in today's world.. Great
numbers of people are concerned, frightened,
or worried and are looking for answers from
the Word of God in the Bible. Rick
believes that Christ is the answer.
The Bible indicates that we
should expect even more immorality,
horrendous violence and terrorism, as well
as rising anarchy in many nations. The
Bible tells us that things will get worse,
not better. The Bible
says that Jesus Christ will return to earth,
will you be ready?
Rick says,
"As you read this page, I want you to
know God loves you, and so do I. By that I
mean, He has given me a love for people and
there is room in my heart for you,
too."
-------------------------------------- other
personal notes ----------------------------------
Rick is highly experienced, an outcome of
several decades of teaching
and
counseling. His confident, honest, moral and
ethical demeanor appeals to his audiences. He
appeals to both youth and adults and is
forward-looking. His warm, friendly style
with touches of clean humor makes him a
favorite with people of all faiths, races
and life circumstances.
Rick
Lawrence's primary ministry is to lift up
the Lord Jesus Christ. He
believes his speaking and teaching success
is the result of the anointing and power of
the Holy Spirit confirming the Word of God.
The dynamic, yet gentle and loving manner in
which Rick conducts his speaking and
teaching presentations is used by the
Lord to draw many people to Christ.
Lives are changed through the power of the
Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
Rick's ministry anointing is based on this
Bible verse, Zechariah
4: 6 "'Not by might nor by power, but
by my Spirit," says the LORD
Almighty."
The other side of the coin -- Rick
says, "Since I am human, I have
made personal mistakes, everyone has
things they regret doing in their lives,
but the Lord is faithful to forgive me and
help me recognize and recover from
mistakes and to get back on track. Even the
wisest among us does something dumb once in
a while. I have found that many people are
very forgiving towards me." I have
learned over time that most of us react and
do about the best we can with the amount of
mental, spiritual growth and walk in the
Lord, we have at any given point in our
lives. And even spiritually born again
believers are subject to struggles and
mistakes in their lives.
The Bible gives an answer to whether or not
the dark side is actively trying to derail
spiritually born again believers. Ephesians
6:12-13 gives an answer, " For our
struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world and
against the spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full
armor of God, so that when the day of evil
comes, you may be able to stand your
ground..." Satanic forces will whittle
away at you and then, if they can, will
blind-side you when, you're weak-willed
enough to walk into their trap. The
answer is to keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus
Christ." When you backslide
from walking with the Lord, you often will
be the last to know it.
I have love in my heart for you as you spend
time reading some of what is written on this
web site. I'm here for you at the common
level at which we all live. You are
important to me. And for those of you who
are seeking God, when it becomes clear to
you that Jesus is standing at the door of
your heart and wants you to open the door
(Rev.3:20) do invite him in. As the
Bible teaches, If you repent of your sins,
ask forgiveness and open your heart to
Jesus, He will come into your heart in a
miracle way and you will start on the
greatest adventure you will ever experience
in this life. And the Bible says when you
invite Jesus into your heart and life, he
will come in and you will be given eternal
life...you will have stopped heading toward
eternal death and are given eternal life
with Jesus in heaven when you die."
John 5:24
----------------------------------------------------
Wherever
Rick ministers, the presence of Jesus is
strong and beautiful. Jesus often brings
about wonderful life-changing deliverance
[people set free from addictions and other
bondages] and healings. God gets the glory
for all of these. Rick says, "I
preach and teach about Jesus Christ of
Nazareth; He is the person who performs all
of the healings, deliverances and
salvation as I minister one on one, or to
multiple people in audiences during ministry
meetings. Jesus gets all of the glory for
helping people. To make certain all of
his disciples understand this Jesus said the
following: "I
am the vine; you are the branches. If a man
remains in me and I in him, he will bear
much fruit; apart
from me you can do nothing."
John
15:5
Back

Two portions of biblical Scripture
Rick holds close to his heart are:
Proverbs
3:5-12 "Trust in the LORD
with all your heart and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge
him, and he will make your paths straight.
Philippians 2:3-11 " Do nothing out
of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in
humility consider others better than
yourselves. Each of you should look not only
to your own interests, but also to the
interests of others. Your
attitude should be the same as that of
Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something
to be grasped, but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant, being
made in human likeness. And being found in
appearance as a man, he humbled himself and
became obedient to death-- even death on a
cross! Therefore
God exalted him to the highest place and
gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should
bow, in heaven and on earth and under the
earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus
Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bible
foretells that planet earth's populations
will drift more and more toward evil. We are
nearing the brink of the end of this age,
however, God may bring change and revival in
nations if at any time, they turn to God
[Jehovah].
II
Chronicles 7:14 " If my people
[spiritually born again believers], which
are called by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and
turn from their wicked ways; then will I
hear from heaven, and will forgive their
sin, and will heal their land."
Jesus'
witness and ministry though Rick--
Rick supports this axiom [truism] -- Choose
your friends by their character and your
socks by their color. Choosing your
socks by their character makes no sense and
choosing your friends by their color is
unthinkable.—Anonymous
A
grandfather from the Cherokee Nation was
talking with his grandson about a battle
that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle between
the two wolves is inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy,
jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority,
lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy,
peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity,
truth, compassion, and faith."
The
grandson thought about it for a minute and
asked his grandfather, "Which wolf
wins? "The elderly Cherokee
replied, "The one you feed, my
son."
Matt
5:23 speaks in another way about forgiveness
and being reconciled with your brother or
sister in Christ, "Therefore,
if you are offering your gift at the altar
and there remember that your brother has
something against you,
leave your gift there in front of the altar.
First go and be reconciled to your brother;
then come and offer your gift." A
well-grounded spiritually born Christian
believer also has a responsibility; i'll
leave it there.
Those
who shun other believers are serving Satan
by their rebellion to Christ's Word; I have
seen this before numerous times and those
who shun are really saying they are
unforgiving. Our Father God will not hear
their prayers until they stop this behavior;
further He may discipline them severely
according to 1 Chronicles 16:22. One day
they will think they are safe in acting this
way and the next day, they may have serious
financial, health or other problems,. You
cannot mock God by acting against His Word.
You will reap what you
sow. God may allow your enemies or demons
from the dark side to get their hands on
you.
